A few ramblings from Mrs MOOCH...

MOOCH on St Giles Street is coming soon ...

Posted on

Well MOOCHERS – I hope the news has already reached you that we’re going to be opening our first MOOCH, on St Giles Street in Northampton in a few short weeks. We’ve taken over a gorgeous Grade II listed building in the cultural quarter of our home town and we’re already well on the way to refurbishing this old building.

We’ve found all sorts of things in the shop including the original gas lamps above the fireplaces upstairs, and a safe with information inside that indicates that it was installed in 1872! It has been a dirty job so far …we’ve been washing dust out of our hair for a week now, and we feel like we’ll keep Farrow and Ball in business for the immediate future (my goodness, their paint is so gorgeous) – but it’s all starting to take shape and we hope you’ll visit us when we’re ready.

We’ve been busy since Christmas putting together an eclectic mix of things so that our gorgeous customers will be able to find something for any occasion (or for themselves!). We’ve tried to focus a lot of our efforts on quality, handmade products – and wherever possible we’ve tried to find UK makers and suppliers. Of course, there are a few things that are made outside the UK that are too lovely not to stock – but there’s only space in the shop for the most beautiful things, so we’ve been really picky so we know we’re bringing the very best offering we can.

If you want to follow the progress and catch a glimpse of some of the gorgeous new stuff coming soon follow us on Facebook @lovemooch
